About 4trips
4trips (4trips.app) is a free group trip planner made in Milan by Edoardo Geiss. It brings everything a group of friends needs to plan a trip together into one app, instead of a group chat, a poll, a spreadsheet and an expenses app.
What 4trips does
- Finds the dates that work for most of the group: everyone marks when they're free, and 4trips ranks the windows where most people overlap.
- Suggests destinations that fit the group's budgets and interests, then lets everyone vote; the organizer confirms the winner.
- Builds the itinerary together: every member can add, move and edit stops day by day, or let AI draft the whole plan or just the empty days. Every stop with a place lands on a 3D trip map.
- Splits costs fairly: equally, by exact amounts, percentages or shares, in any currency, with the fewest payments to settle up.
- Keeps the trip's chat, bookings and documents in one place, plus a shared photo album for the group.
- Remembers where you've been: a personal travel map, and a group map of the places you've visited together.
Who makes it
4trips is an independent project by Edoardo Geiss, based in Milan, Italy. It's free to use, works in English, Italian and German, and runs in the browser on any phone or computer.
Not to be confused with
4trips doesn't sell trips, tours or travel packages: it's a free tool your group uses to plan its own trip. It's a separate, independent product and isn't affiliated with 4Trip.ai, Tips4trips or the Brazilian tour operator 4TRIPS.
